In this series my
work examines the façade of a modern individual. By
challenging the structure of the traditional portrait. I seek
to create images that allow the viewer to see beneath cosmetics.
My
examinations materialize with the interleaving of printmaking
techniques. One single image lives a cycle through its construction
and deconstruction. Each impression becomes a tier of information.
History develops through the mingling of layers and a new
language is formed through interplay. It is in this exchange,
where the sublime and tactile meet, that my focus lies.
